Last year when I was turning my photography business into more of a lifestyle portrait photography business I knew that somehow I wanted to give back. After thinking for a while I realised that the best gift I could give is my craft, which is when A Little Bit of Love was born.
The session I give away twice a year (Mother's Day and Father's Day), they are full sessions where the recipient receives a two-hour session and all digital images from it. I give to those who have had large and tiny struggles, who have loved and lost and who just never have that bit extra to give to themselves. The nominees are mothers, fathers, husband, best friends and there are even those who recognise their own importance and nominate themselves. The first time I allocated one of these sessions was Mother's Day this year and the entries brought me to tears for so many reasons. I wanted to give everyone a session!

This beautiful family had the honour of being my first for A Little Bit of Love session and what a beautiful and well deserving family they are.
I have known them for many, many years (no need to go into how many) and they have always been the epitome of love, kindness, and joy. They have crafted an enviable life out of good times and bad, raised two gorgeous children and still through it all love each other with a strength that is palpable.
When I created this session I was ignorant and never realised what I would gain, this first family showed me that. It was my pleasure to spend the afternoon with them, I cherished every moment of it.
Thank you x
