This morning was an early start, the session was at 6:3am, it was Father’s Day, my daughter’s birthday and it was just the time that worked best for us, and I’m so glad we did it this way. Hamish was fresh, happy and full of cheek, his parent’s probably would have liked more sleep but that’s just parent life 🙄 and the light, oh the light was just glorious. I could babble on for days about all the reasons why I love these photos but just keep scrolling and see for yourself, after all I’m a photographer not an author.Read More
Most often the things you have to wait the longest for are most worth it, this was one of those times. Thank you to the Bulter family for inviting me to spend some time in your world - and what a wonderful little world you have.Read More
This is one lucky boy, with two Mummas that are perfectly infatuated with him and not at all stressed by life with a newborn. I was truely in awe of the love that surrounded this new family and I am immensely grateful that I was able to witness this.
Baby Gus, thank you for having me in your home, I can’t wait to watch you grow.Read More
I am always honoured to be invited into a family’s space but after hearing about the strength and love of Hayley’s family, I felt incredibly touched. But let’s be real here and let me tell you that this session was not without it’s dramas.
I headed to a secluded area near Kewarra Beach that I found on Google Maps to meet Hayley and her two beautiful kids. I parked and trekked through a muddy track (some what similar to Cape York’s Telegraph Track), I braved unleashed, unaccompanied dogs only to discover that Hayley and I were at different beaches … doh!Read More
Every day I journal and every morning as I sit down to release a few of the million thoughts in my mind, I always think to myself “wow, I can’t believe it’s (insert date here) already!”. So in that tradition I want to begin by saying, ‘Wow, I can’t believe it’s April already!’.Read More
I get it, it’s hard to pick a photographer. But I want to take a moment, self promote and maybe even brag a little, to show you why I am your photographer.Read More
I get asked all the time, where are you from? I live on a cattle property in North Western Queensland, Gilberton Station, it is 460km North West of Townsville or 540km South West of Cairns. Our back yard is 35 600 hectares and is home to roughly 2000 head of cattle along with countless native wildlife. I live on the property with my husband and two tiny (or not quite so tiny anymore) ferals, as well has his parents, sister and her fiancé.Read More
I have a soft spot for mother/daughter relationships, probably because I spent so much time with my Mum growing up. They are a mix of love and turmoil, calm one minute and stormy the next. It is a powerful and beautiful thing when all the girls have is each other but it is also a relationship that is often filled with struggle.Read More
When I created this session I was ignorant and never realised what I would gain, this first family showed me that. It was my pleasure to spend the afternoon with them, I cherished every moment of it.Read More
I am fortunate enough that I get invited to enjoy many moments, milestones and ordinary (but no less special) days with my families. I get to experience different family dynamics, love and personalities. At the end of all my sessions I am told 'thank you' but what no one really understands is just how much I gain from each session.Read More
